Albany Kindergarten Extension & Bathrooms

This project involved an extension of the Albany Kindergarten to facilitate a larger bathroom for children.

Works included; piling to bridge over existing public sewer services, timber framed walls and roof structure, lightweight metal roofing, weatherboard cladding and aluminium joinery all to match existing, and the construction and interior fitout of a child-friendly bathroom, complete with all plumbing fittings, wall and floor linings, and toilet cubicles.

We started the works at the end of the term in December 2013 and had a tight programme which included us working through the Christmas holiday period to enable school to start back as scheduled in February 2014. Given the lack of resources in the Auckland market over Christmas we had to co-ordinate all materials orders, deliveries and building consent inspections well ahead of time to ensure works progressed on time and we achieved the programmed handover.
