Blum – 621 Patiki Road

The Blum Project was three projects in one and involved the new Blum New Zealand head office showroom and warehouse, the alteration and fitout of the Smith & Nephews Building and the alteration and fitout of the BSN Building.

The Blum building was a contemporary design and involved significant demolition at the end of an existing warehouse. We then constructed a new building within the existing envelope. Externally the building was constructed with various shape forms and internally a raft of finishes was used to create large open spaces.

Both Smith & Nephew and BSN were active tenants on the recently acquired Blum site. Blum engaged Williams Architects to design and document their new head office & showroom, and at the same time rationalise, revamp and fitout the tenancies of Smith & Nephews and BSN.

The result was an award winning building, winning both the NZIA Commercial Category and Property Council Best In Category.
