This project is a new build, office and warehouse development for the Auckland International Airport consisting of two warehouse spaces and two office complexes for two seperate tenants.

Q were awarded the ECI role and then full main contract.

Just 3km from Auckland’s International and Domestic Airports, Q have constructed a large warehouse and office complex consisting of two warehouse spaces each with their own office space. The new industrial scale building has large yards with canopies for efficient truck deliveries, carparks, fencing, landscaping, and footpaths. Construction includes fitout of the office spaces with partitioning, floor coverings, kitchenettes, and ablutions areas.

The warehouses (Warehouse A and Warehouse B) total 16,000m2 and have been constructed with reinforced concrete foundations, post-tensioned concrete floor slabs, structural steel frame and precast concrete wall panels. The roof and walls are clad with long-run coloursteel. Roller doors are installed to provide access for forklifts and other vehicles and personnel doors will proide access for staff. There is a total of 5,600m2 of canopy constructed to provide shelter from the weather for staff, visitors, and goods, loading and unloading.

Warehouse A has a two-story office attached with a total floor area of 450m2. Warehouse B has a single storey office attached with a floor area of 320m2. The offices are constructed with reinforced concrete foundations and concrete floor slab, a structural steel frame and precast concrete wall panels. The mezzanine floor to office A is formed using metal tray decking and reinforced concrete. The office roofs are clad with Colorsteel roofing. The exterior walls are a combination of precast concrete, Trespa cladding, and powder coated alumunium joinery.

Services to the offices and warehouses include plumbing, electrical, data, mechanical (air-conditioning) and fire protection (sprinklers and alarms).
