Q Construction undertook the Te Awamutu Mega centre on a P&G and Margin basis, negotiating the contract with the developer. The Centre is 3600m2 of large and small format retail along service centre development constructed on a green field site on the outskirts of Te Awamutu.
The site team worked through a long wet winter but maintained the programme which was set down by incoming tenants requirements.
Q also picked up a number of the fitouts following the completion of the base build. Namely
The Q team enjoyed the town of Te Awamutu and its people which helped make working out of Auckland a positive experience.
The Centre is approx 3600m2 in building area and constructed using concrete tilt slab, steel portal frame, and long run metal cladding and roofing. Q undertook the casting of nearly 1700m2 of tilt slab panels onsite which gave increased flexibility to panel size and shape.
