There were three parts to this project:
Part 1 – Some structural strengthening to the existing roof structure. This was a tricky process as it involved decommissioning and temporarily removing existing steel work and existing building services to allow the installation of the new strengthening steelwork and then reinstatement of the existing steelwork and services.
Part 2 – The installation of a new Kingzip roof over the top of the existing roof. The new roofing material was rolled on site in up to 50m lengths to avoid joins in the roof and installed over the top of the existing roof using a channel, clip and halter system,
Part 3 – New Plantroom and Services Upgrade. This included the construction of a new plantroom and the supply and installation of a Generator & fuel tank, two new chillers and a new air handling unit
