UOA O'Rorke House

Q Interiors completed this two stage project for the University of Auckland O'Rorke House Student Accommodation.

Stage 1 works involved converting an existing office space into a two level apartment for the Building Manager. We worked closely with Property Services to finalise and maximise the design space and assisted with selecting materials and finishes. We had a 6 week duration to complete the works which also included a number of areas to made good with existing services altered and upgraded.

Stage 2 works involved taking the now redundant Building Managers apartment and converting this into additional student accommodation. A new ‘pod’ was created with all works carried out during the semester and around exam time. All noisey and disruptive works were carried out at agreed times.

Throughout both stages of works we worked closely and proactively with the client to ensure all works were completed on time without negatively affecting students. All works were successfully completed on time with minimal defects.
