How we made a difference

The details

Our Q Commercial Construction team demolished walls, ceilings, floors and specialist doors in the existing plant before beginning the layout reconfiguration and construction of the high-care, high-hygiene rooms. Conductive floors were among the technical features of this refurbishment, and were important to protect the plant’s people, materials and sensitive equipment from electrostatic discharges.

This work included a revised wall layout, new specialist doors and new, specialised floor finishes. Providing for new drainage points and hot and cold water feeds to repositioned hand wash basins were part of the work.

We engaged a specialist flooring subcontractor to install the conductive flooring and supervised extensive quality testing throughout its application to ensure that it would perform as specified.
