Q Construction undertook the construction of this 5600m2 GFA new build warehouse and office for a long standing and repeat client.

The building includes 5000m2, 13m high stud (to the knee) warehouse, along with 915m2 Canopy, 2900m2 Yard and 595m2 2 storey modern office.

Situated on the edge of the Waitemata Habour enjoying magical sunrises, 40 Jomac is a modern warehouse and Office building currently being used as a distribution center.

The details

The building comprises a single level warehouse and two level office. The warehouse is appoximately 5000m2 with a 915m2 canopy at the north side of the warehouse. Warehouse construction is a post tensioned floor, precast concrete external walls, steel portal frame and profiled metal cladding and roof, sprinkler protected with a retained slab on grade yard area.

The office level 1 and 2 area are approx 300m2. External finishes to the office area consist of glazed curtain walls asn ACM panel architectual ‘brows’.

Navigating the Covid lockdown periods to deliver the project with material and labour shortages proved a challenge, along with stockpiling large volumes of excavated material for re-use in preperation for the fully retained yard area.
