The challenge
With the client incurring delays during the consent process, the pressure was on us to get the bar and restaurant open as soon as possible.
Once we had stripped out the existing restaurant fitout we had to liaise closely with the designer, structural engineer and heritage architect to ensure all construction works were monitored and details including fixing methods met heritage requirements.

We completely refitted the kitchen and toilet areas and the existing bar location was moved – meaning all new service runs. There were a number of tricky design details to manage including increased opening sizes, new glass floor viewing panels, refinishing heritage items and detailing junctions of old/new materials.
There were a number of high level finishes including refinishing heritage timber floors, 2x new fireplaces with stone surrounds, feature plaster, tin panelling and a large amount of client supplied furniture and fittings to be co-ordinated.
